The permanence in time

The relativity of time is what makes it such an interesting object. Is it even an object? For all I know it’s just a concept.

Something that puts other things, happenings, into a timeline. See, timeline isn’t even a word without the word “time” in it.

But time, it stretches and condenses. The units in time could never be precise. There are those 5 minutes that feel like weeks or hours that feel like it went as fast as a second. The twists and turns of time carry us to the highs and lows of our lives.

And as I row the small boat that is my being through the crashing waves or the still waters of time, I found you.

In that moment when our hearts meet, resonating in the same frequencies of their beating, it was as if time ceased to exist. As if the entire world was built for this moment, when I locked my eyes on you. And everything else was temporary, but you are my permanence in time.
